Dental Crown Longmeadow MA

One of the most common dental treatments used in modern dentistry, as dental crown can serve a wide range of purposes for both cosmetic and restorative needs.

Pioneer Valley Dental Arts in Longmeadow is home to two highly trained and experienced dentists, Dr. Mark Evans and Dr. Derrick Ziemba. We offer high quality dental crowns that are custom made to enhance both function and aesthetics when it comes to your dental health.

Dental crowns can be made from a variety of materials and we will recommend the most appropriate choice for you depending on the location of the affected tooth and your cosmetic goals. In most cases, a color matched porcelain or ceramic crown is suggested for both durability and a natural appearance.

Common dental crown treatments include:

  • Decayed tooth
  • Damaged tooth
  • Misshapen tooth
  • Discolored tooth
  • Fix gaps between teeth
  • Strengthen a tooth after a root canal or to support a dental bridge

What To Expect

The dental crown process will begin with dental impressions to be used in the fabrication of a custom fit and color matched restoration. First, Dr. Evans or Dr. Ziemba will prepare the affected tooth by removing a minimal amount of structure to allow the crown to be securely attached and to fit comfortably.

A temporary crown may be placed to allow normal function until your final restoration is ready.

Once complete, your new dental crown will be permanently secured to your tooth, adjusted for fit and then polished to blend with your natural teeth. The final result will support your overall dental health and last for many years with proper dental care and hygiene.

About CEREC Technology

same day crowns longmeadow maDr. Evans and Dr. Ziemba have incorporated advanced technology into their Longmeadow dentist office for faster, more accurate treatments and lasting results.

CEREC is a CAD/CAM technology that enables them to design, fabricate and place a high quality ceramic crown during a single visit.

Your procedure will begin with easy and convenient digital impressions- no messy impressions trays and gooey mess!

Dr. Evans or Ziemba will use the high resolution images to design and fabricate your dental crown while you wait using the CEREC milling machine. Once complete, we will permanently secure the crown and make final adjustments for a comfortable fit. You can leave the same day with your final dental crown- and new smile.

If necessary, a local anesthetic is used for comfort, but otherwise the entire procedure is relatively painless- and there is no return trip to the dentist.
